The Light Shines in Darkness

But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. — Ephesians 5:13
Bible Reading Ephesians 5:1-21
The Bible has a wealth of universal life principles. We must also seek God’s guidance in determining how to put the principles we learn in the Bible into practice in our daily lives. As believers, we have been transformed from darkness to light in the Lord, and we should walk as children of light (v. 8). Let us reveal what we’re still trying to keep hidden in the dark. We are far from Jesus Christ’s perfection, but we are all works in progress. God’s Word illuminates the darkest corners of our souls when we read the Bible, revealing the negative habits, beliefs, and attitudes that God wants us to address in our lives.
The light dispels the darkness of our hearts and illuminates what is going on inside. It distinguishes between what is right and what is wrong. As we disclose our sins, the light defeats them. John 1:5 says, “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it!” God is a forgiving God, and He is the only one who can change our hearts. He is true and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness if we confess our sins (1 John 1:9).
Allow the Holy Spirit to fill us rather than copying the world.
