This Is No Joke 😄

We do not really know the exact time or place in which we started to celebrate April 1 as a day around the world for colorful antics and amusing jokes. Many speculate a Greek mythology history and others claim a European origin. Needless to say, humor and laughter is good medicine when we set boundaries that are in good taste. We all probably have been the perpetrator or “victim” of an April fool’s joke. The story of David and Goliath was no laughing matter.

Studies show that 20% of the US population suffer Post-Traumatic Stress disorder at any one time. Many are victims of physical, emotional, or spiritual wounds. In our integrated approach we emphasize that your trauma does not define you. God defines you. He loves you no matter what. We encourage our patients to tell their traumas how big our God is! We can slay our problems in the same manner that David reminded Goliath how big His God is. Indeed, the power of God’s Love can restore the health of our mind, body, and spirit.
