To Live in Contentment

Paul started Colossians 3 with a conditional preposition. This is his appeal to the Colossians to live in a way that pleases the Lord. Since we have been raised with Christ, how should we live then? Paul says to set our minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Desiring God and making Him the focus of our life will help us live with inner contentment and peace.

God opens His arms and invites us to live in His presence every day. Thinking about Him and not the things that bring us worries and fear brings peace in our mind and soul. We need to choose carefully what we will let inside our boundaries. What does focusing on the Lord means? It means seeing God in our present situation. God is not a distant God. He is present in our life at all times. How’s your personal relationship with Christ?
