Trust and He Will

..for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Psalm 107:9

Read Psalm 107:1-9

The purpose of Psalm 107 is to give thanks to the Lord. The community call one another to give thanks to God because of His steadfast love. After the initial invitation to “give thanks to the LORD,” the psalm explains how each of the four groups cried out to the Lord in their distress, and how God delivered them.

Verses 4-9 describe the first group of people who have been banished as a result of their exile from the country. Some wandered in desert wastes and found no way to a city that they can dwell in. When they cried to the LORD in their trouble, He delivered them from their distress (v. 6). God delivered them and brought them to a city to dwell in.

What are the troubles you are facing today? His Word says to cry out to God and He will deliver you. There may be times when God will not deliver you right away, but He will sustain you and equip you to overcome and be victorious. Trust God and He will. He heard your cry, He knows your struggles. We don’t need to wait for God to rescue us before we give thanks to Him. While we are still going through tough storms, we can already raise our hands to God and thank Him believing that He is ahead of us, preparing everything as we go through the process.

Thank you, Lord! Thank you for your steadfast love!
