T'was the Night Before Christmas...
Today's Daily Devotion - December 24, 2021
By Dr. George J. Ceremuga
Behold, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son into the world. Galatians 4:4
Tomorrow the dawn from on high shall break upon us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is a time of rejoicing and to celebrate Jesus’ coming to set us free. As we prepare to celebrate, the coming of Jesus is an invitation as well. He invites us to join Him in the work of preparing the world for His return in glory and His final victory over all evil. We are invited to be present day John the Baptist and help “prepare ye the way.” We are invited to say no to sin and yes to His grace.
Jesus desires us to live in communion and share His gospel message with all those around us so that they can also rejoice in His salvation. We expectantly await the day of our full redemption, when Jesus returns in full glory as the “Warrior King.” As for now, we eagerly wait in the space between already witnessing his gift of salvation but not yet experiencing it in fullness. Jesus, we give you thanks and praise for your gifts to humanity and fill me with great expectation for the day when your victory will be fully revealed.
We wish you a Merry CHRISTmas and a Happy New Year!
