November 15, 2023 Daily Devotion
Our country, Philippines, has been through 4 different storms in the past several weeks. Most of the typhoons landed on the same affected regions, leaving these places really devastated. With no homes to go back to because of the floods and landslides while there is a pandemic, a lot are already losing hope.
Victory, as how we define it, may be far from what we have been going through this year. But the Word of God says, “’As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God. – Romans 14:11’” We can be victorious against the distractions of the enemy, against fear, against worries, and even against the hard times when we speak the name of Jesus! There is a power released whenever we speak in the name of Jesus. Prayer is our ultimate weapon. Let us declare that in Jesus’ name, new hope will rise. Jesus Himself is our hope. As victors, we do not bow down to fear and anxiety because of our circumstances. Instead, we rise with joy and we praise God, knowing that God will never leave us nor forsake us.
Our prayer is a weapon.
