Read Romans 8:18-30
There are a lot of things we are hoping for. We hope for a better future, where most define “better future” as financially wealthy. Our objects of hope are things that we see. How about hoping for and patiently waiting for something that we do not see?
We have the first-fruits of the Spirit already. However, we still await the day of our final adoption wherein our bodies are fully redeemed and are raised from the dead.
As we strongly and actively hope of the heavenly inheritance, it will produce in us a patient waiting until God’s time. It enables us to bear and endure intervening troubles with full contentment because we know that in the finished work of Jesus Christ, there is hope. 2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself.”
What makes you hopeful for tomorrow?
Let us enjoy a closer fellowship with God!
