Water is Life: Physically and Spiritually

Mni Wicon, Agua es vida, Water is Life—we proudly claim as our first pillar in the Creator Model of Healthcare. Three languages emphasize the importance of this life-giving water. Ezekiel reminds us that every month the trees shall bear fresh fruit, for they shall be watered by the flow from the sanctuary. Their fruit shall serve for food, and their leaves for medicine. Indeed, food is medicine!

We also know that the Holy Spirit is our “living water.” We experience some seasons in life where we practically overflow with the energy to serve the Lord and seek His will joyfully. In other seasons we feel depleted, weary, and barren. Now close your eyes and take Ezekiel’s hand as you wade into the crystal-clear stream that is flowing down from heaven. What you are experiencing is an orchard full of luscious fruit watered by God’s never-ending, life-giving flow that bear a constant supply of nourishing fruit.

Now picture Jesus saying, “Let anyone who thirsts come to me and drink (John 7:37). Yes, Jesus is inviting you to receive, claim, and rejoice in the living water—our path to salvation.
