We are Ambassadors for Christ
If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then, will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
We are all called to be ambassadors for Christ. The perennial failure of many of our Bishops, to call out Biden and other Catholic politicians who publicly defy the Church’s most cherished moral tissue only serves to confuse many in our society causing them to think, maybe it isn’t that bad.? Isn’t that bad? The willful destruction of 61 million babies in the womb isn’t that bad. I ask you, “what could be worse?”
Abortion is the pre-eminent moral issue of our time. The right to life undergirds all other rights. That is why it is mentioned first in the Declaration of Independence. It represents governments most important responsibility. Abortion is the primary cause and primary symptom in a society in a downward death spiral.
As a nation we are staring into the abyss. Archbishop Fulton Sheen wrote these words sixty years ago: “A nation always gets the kind of politicians it deserves. For years, they thought it made no difference in what kind of people represented them. They abandoned the spiritual in the realm of the temporal.”
The bottom line is to vote. Think with the Church. Only God is the solution that ails the United States.
