We are the Children of God!

What defines God’s children, and what distinguishes them? Anyone who does what is right and loves their brother and sister is a child of God, according to John’s epistle to Ephesus (1 John 2:29). No one who is born of God will continue to sin because the seed of God remains in them (vv. 9).

As children of God, we are to continue in Him so that we can be confident and unashamed before him; we are to anchor our hope in Jesus, and we are to purify ourselves as we wait in Jesus Christ’s return because He is pure. God does not name us his children because of our excellent acts. It is because of the great love He has lavished on us. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Let’s lead with love!
