Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. - Romans 12:12

Read Romans 12:9-21

What will happen tomorrow? What will happen next month or next year? Crisis here and there seems never ending. While some countries already started mass gatherings without the need of wearing face masks, there is a country where nearly 3,700 people are dying in 24 hours because of Covid. And at the same time, somewhere across the globe, people are also dying because of starvation.

We are all filled with uncertainties and unmet expectations. The Bible says rejoice in hopebe patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer (v. 12). Amplified Bible version says, “constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength].”

Even though how dark and uncertain our surrounding may be, we can rejoice because of our hope in Jesus Christ. We can grieve, but grieve in hope, believing that what we are experiencing here in on earth is temporary. We fix our eyes not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen (2 Corinthians 4:18). When we give our burden to the Lord, He will take care of us (Psalm 55:22).

Let go and let God.
