Who, Me?

Who, Me - Daily Devotion

Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt? - Exodus 3:11

Indeed, God calls his people wholeheartedly (or as best we can) to surrender to his will. When God called Moses to lead his people, Moses reply lacked confidence. The same applies to Gideon to save the Israelites from the invading Midianites, “Please, my Lord, how can I save Israel?” (Judges 6:15). And Jeremiah’s reaction when called to be a prophet, “Ah, Lord God! I do not know how to speak. I am too young!” (Jeremiah 1:6).

Yet in every instance, God promised, “I will be with you” and eventually all surrendered to his call. Look at it as an adventure. Yes, the Triune God has handpicked me for a “special mission” that only I can accomplish. Not if, but when, God picks you, He will equip you. It is only a matter of time that He will call upon you. Trust in the process and his timing. God knows our strengths and our weaknesses, and He will give us the grace to carry out our mission.

Indeed, yes, you!
