Will You Pray With Me?

I recently met the new director of Life, INC (in the name of Christ) in Rapid City. We decided to hold our meeting on a walk along the bike path. This was definitely the day the Lord hath made. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. We greeted many homeless people on our walk. One man, “Bobby” invited us to pray for him. He asked us to pray the Lord’s prayer with him. We introduced ourselves and were delighted to join him in prayer.

We walked with him to the local food cooperative and learned more about “his story.” That day we shared in the glory of God as missionary disciples. We all acknowledged that prayer is the best medicine and all life and healing come from God. We ended our time together with a prayer from Numbers 6:24-26: The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
