A Candida Cleanse

Treatment For Fungus Of Our Nails Due To Candida Overgrowth Syndrome

Candida is yeast that thrives on sugar and leaky gut. The fungus of your nail can develop from many factors:

  • Antibiotic use
  • Hormonal changes
  • Stress
  • Low immune system function
  • Poor digestion and leaky gut (candida overgrowth syndrome)
  • High sugar and grain diet
Step #1: Cutting Off the Supply of Sugar

This infection thrives off of sugar molecules entering the digestive tract through the foods you eat. The main idea is cutting off the supply of sugar that feeds the yeast and bad bacteria. Eliminating carbohydrates, your body will boost the presence of good bacteria in your gut.

Step#2. Replenish Healthy Bacteria

The next step is introducing beneficial aliments that help replenish your levels of healthy bacteria. Add into your diet the following fermented foods:

Beverage

  • Kombucha (fermented beverage of black tea and sources like cane sugar, fruit or honey)
  • Raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar: One teaspoon in large glass of water prior to meals. You may add slice of lemon.
  • Important not to drink fluids during meals as it dilutes your stomach acid and prevents the stomach acid from fully digesting your food. This then causes bloating, belching and reflux. Drink a glass of water or tea one hour after your meals. If you must have some fluids with meals please limit to a 6 ounce glass of water.

Vegetables

  • Sauerkraut (fermented cabbage)
  • Pickles
  • Miso (fermented soybean, barley or brown rice with koji, a fungus)
  • Tempeh (soybean product)
  • Natto (fermented soybeans)
  • Kimchi (cabbage, plus spices and seasoning)
  • Kale, Spinach, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts

Probiotic Food

  • Kefir (fermented milk product)
  • Yogurt
  • Raw Cheese

Fermented dairy and vegetables, probiotic foods mentioned above help speed up the healing process.

Step#3. Include more fiber, healthy sources of protein and nourishing fats in your diet
The main idea in this step is obtaining enough protein while also reducing toxins in your diet.
 
I recommend you increase the consumption of:

Protein Rich Food

  • Grass-fed meat/ wild game
  • Organic, cage-free eggs or poultry
  • Oatmeal with almond milk
  • Wild-caught fish

Healthy Fats

  • Coconut Oil

If you’ll reduce the consumption of sugar and combine good fats and proteins along with some quality fiber, you’ll be on the path to eliminating candida in your body, and therefore signs of toenail fungus. This Candida Cleanse will also help your mental clarity, give you energy, clear your skin, and help you lose weight.
