It Is God

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. — 2 Corinthians 1:21
When we are born again and saved by grace through faith in Christ, we are positioned in Him. This is our new identity when we accept Jesus as our Saviour. God has given us the Holy Spirit. It is God Himself who pours out His Holy Spirit on those who come to Him through faith in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come (2 Corinthians 1:22).
It’s all God’s doing. We can put our trust in Him because His power and grace save us. Our involvement is to allow God to grow us in grace. We can strengthen our faith by reading God’s Word and spending time with Him. We are to mature into mature sons after being born into God’s family. Day by day, we are to be transformed into the image and likeness of Jesus.
Here we are, Lord, mold us into your likeness.
