Recently I was given a St. Joseph Prayer Book. This man of silence, righteous and faithful is a role model for our own prayer life. Please allow me to share this prayer for healing.
O Heavenly Father, God of Love, you gave us your Son Jesus to be Physician and Healer of our mind, body, and spirit. Lord Jesus, I turn to you in this time of illness. Please come to me and lay your healing hands on me. Let the warmth, peace, and healing power of your Spirit fill me now with your life and love. I receive You, Lord Jesus!
Please heal me according to your divine will, O Lord, and enable me to serve You and my family with a healthy mind, body, and spirit. May your joy be my strength this day and all the days of my life.
I receive you, Jesus.
Saint Joseph, Hope of the sick, pray for us. Amen.
