We nurture the diving exchange, moment to moment talking to Jesus, our guiding light. In Spanish there is a saying, “A veces, solo, es un poderoso lugar.” This translates to, at times, being alone is a powerful place. This is especially powerful when our alone time is with Jesus Christ. Silence is the classroom where we hear the word of God.
The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 2:11-14:
As you know, we treat each one of you as a father treats his children, exhorting and encouraging you and insisting that you conduct yourselves as worthy of God who calls you into his kingdom and glory. And for this reason, we too give thanks to God unceasingly, that, in receiving the word of God from hearing us, you received not a human word but, as truly is, the word of God, which is now at work in you who believe.
