Praise God for He is unchanging! He is a steadfast God who keeps His promises across time and eternity. Our God is immutable and never breaks His words. If God could alter His mind about us, He may very well do so, and we would be consumed.
What should be our reaction to God’s unwavering and constant love? Let us choose to honor the Lord our God by renouncing our reliance on ourselves and placing our faith and trust in His unfailing resources. Yes, He is a loving God, and His affection for us is unchanging. Let us not forget, however, that He is the same God who is just. This means that people who continue to sin and rebel against Him will face serious consequences.
We should be eternally grateful that the LORD’s love for us and His choice of us does not change.
“I the Lord do not change.”
