Salvation is Owed through Our Faith!

So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

James 2:17

The last two devotions discussed the rewards and sacrifices for being a prophet or a righteous person. I love sharing James 2:12-17 as it resonates with my spirit and faith life. It is how Jesus lived his life on earth: to teach, to love, and to heal. Jesus gifted us mission: “The Great Commission.” Jesus is calling us all to put our faith in action!

For judgment is merciless to one who has not shown mercy: mercy triumphs over judgment. What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,” but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
