Sharing in the Lord’s Passion

Matthew 9:29

Saint Jane Frances de Chantal co-founded the Order of Visitation with Saint Francis de Sales in the early 1600’s. She reminds us to “keep our eyes upon God and let him do his will. Be of good heart, find you consolation in the will of God, and rest assured that your faith, hope, and love of him are greater and more perfect than they have ever been.

So hold fast in the assurance that the Father who so often told us that a way lined with crosses is always the better way. Faith without works is never enough. It is not a feeling of faith or of hope that will save us, but rather what we do, supported by the mercy of God.
