Man Must Love All Creation!

The one that had mercy on him.

Luke10:37

Dan George was a chief of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation in Vancouver, British Columbia and he said, “It is hard for me to understand a culture that not only hates and fights his brothers, but even attacks nature and abuses her. Man must love all creation, or he will love none of it. Love is something you and I must have. We must have it because our Spirit feeds upon it.”

The Good Samaritan parable teaches us that love transcends social and cultural boundaries. In this parable, a Jewish man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho is left beaten and robbed on the side of the road. Both a priest and a Levite pass by without offering assistance. However, a Samaritan, who would have been considered an enemy to the injured man, stops to help. It teaches us that love requires compassion, empathy, and action, regardless of the differences that may exist between individuals. (Luke 10:25-37).
