Each Day is a New Beginning…

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Every meeting or encounter is an opportunity to spread the gospel message advancing the kingdom of God. As I was walking within the county jail to our “Each Day is a New Beginning” prison ministry, I rode the elevator with one of the Correction Officers who I recognized from previous visits. He asked the name of our ministry and when I shared this with him, he said with a smile, “The inmates really enjoy your ministry.” His compliment was a fantastic way to begin our “holy hour” with my brothers in Christ.

As I approached the inmates, I announced that today we were going to talk about an American icon: Jesus Christ! The Holy Spirit gathered up the faithful and we packed the meeting room sharing gratitude, positive affirmations, the Creator Model of Healthcare, the path to salvation, and most importantly the love for each other as made in the divine image of God. Thank you, Mr. Correction Officer, for your positive energy as “each day is a new beginning.”
