I desire mercy, not sacrifice.

Matthew 9:13

Are you ready to follow Jesus? Are you ready to eat with the tax collectors and sinners? Are you prepared to give up whatever is necessary to carry the mantle that Jesus is asking of you? Many are called and few are chosen. Ask the young rich man who was unable to give up his possessions to follow Jesus. Each day is a blessed opportunity to be a missionary disciple wherever you live. The mission field is robust in our own local communities.

Let us imitate the humility, love, and forgiveness of Jesus and meet people where they are at. As we show love and kindness, we gain their respect and trust. We live the words of St. Teresa of Calcutta, “When we judge, we leave no room for love.” Ask Jesus to help you see others as He sees them and be a light that brings the kingdom of God into their lives.
