A song of adoration for God’s awesome strength can be found in Psalm 29. According to the Psalm 29:5–9, God can break Lebanon cedars, erupt flames of fire, shake the desert, cause deer to give birth, and bare the forest with just the sound of His voice. The voice of God alone is majestic and powerful.
Other translations of the Bible use thunder to symbolize God’s voice. Thunderstorm is the visual picture of His grandeur and strength. The natural phenomena are works of God. They accomplish his goals and show his brilliance, glory, faithfulness, and even love. The beauty and diversity of the natural world, as well as its intricacy and subtleties, are proof of God’s power.
God bestows the same earth-shattering power and authority on His people. Though God’s power is depicted as a destructive storm on those who oppose Him, His power may also bring strength and peace to those who believe in Him. His blessings and guidance can provide an inner sense of peace that transcends circumstances and events. We can be confident that God will provide strength and calm to those who seek Him during the storms of life.
May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!
