It’s all about Jesus!

Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Acts 16:30

As Paul and Silas were evangelizing in Philippi the crowd joined in on their attack and the magistrates stripped them and ordered them to be beaten with rods. They were then placed in prison in modern day “maximum security.” Paul and Silas began praying and singing hymns to God as the other prisoners listened and suddenly a severe earthquake shook the foundation of the jail, and all the doors flew open and their chains loosened. As the jailer woke up and found the prisoner doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself.

Paul shouted out to the jailer in a loud voice, “Do no harm to yourself; we are all here” (16:28). The jailer moved by the Holy Spirit fell down before Paul and Silas and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved.” So they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to everyone in his house. He took them in at that hour of the night and bathed their wounds; then he and all his family were baptized at once. He brought them into his house and provided a meal and with his household rejoiced at having come to faith in God (VV.31-34).

Call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved!
