She Always Says: “Papa”

Train up a child the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

A grandfather’s love knows no bounds. A recent text from my son brought me to tears. “When I ask Natalie (my two-year-old granddaughter) who she wants to pray for each night before bed, she always says: ‘Papa’. We love you!” After enjoying this precious moment, my response back was “please tell ‘pumpkin’ that I feel her prayers and there is nothing more powerful than a granddaughter who prays.”

A few months ago, my son shared with me Walter Green’s: “Say it now” movement eulogizing one another prior to death. My son’s random act of kindness not only made my day but made my days for weeks to come. It really is that simple…to lead with love. A big shout out to my son and daughter-in-law for establishing prayer as the best medicine.
