Walk With God

Today’s Daily Devotion – November 15 2022

By Khai Samante

You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess. — Deuteronomy 5:33

How’s your walk with God? We walk with God in different paces. Some walk hand in hand with Him and others walk faster than Him. Are you the former or the latter?

It appears that we must always be on the go because we live in a fast-paced world. We often do the same thing in our relationship with God. We outrun God and ask Him to hurry and catch up with us. Let us ask ourselves, “When was the last time I spent a prayer and devotion time with God in the morning without worrying about the time?” We are always rushing through our Bible time and even multitasking during our prayer time with Him. We can hardly focus on the racetrack God has prepared for us because we are so distracted by other people’s tracks. Our minds are constantly active, and we are always doing something.

“Walk with God,” says a friend, and it’s a great reminder. We may rush through our careers, goals, and other tasks, but God is not. According to Ecclesiastes 3:11, God has determined the proper time for everything. He has created a desire in us to know the future, but He has never given us the satisfaction of fully comprehending what He does. It is impossible to truly cherish and enjoy God’s goodness in the present if we are preoccupied with the future. God desires we walk hand in hand with Him. He wants us to live our lives with Him, at His pace. Walking with God and trusting in his perfect timing for everything is far better compared to rushing and walking without him.

Think about how your week is going and ask God to help be intentional in walking with Him, in His pacing.

Trust God and His timing.
