Let Our Light Shine!

The righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father.

Matthew 13:43

The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are the angels. “The Son of Man will send angels to gather the weeds—the children of the evil one and throw them into the fiery furnace where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth” (VV.41-42). Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father.

At our Baptism we received Jesus, “the true light,” the light of hope, joy, and peace. We are the light for this dark world even as we encounter opposition we continue to offer encouraging words, insights, joy through our sanguine personality. Until the day we rejoice and join the litany of saints, let your light shine for all to see as you glow like the sun in the kingdom of God.
