“Powerfully Poetic”

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you.

1 Corinthians 3:16

On July 31, 2024, I had the privilege to attend the internment service of Rochelle Ahl, a 20-year Navy Veteran at the South Dakota State Veteran’s Home in Hot Springs, South Dakota. In attendance were her family, friends, and Veteran’s Home staff. Chaplain Nelson gave a beautiful eulogy that reminded us that Rochelle lived a life filled with kindness. Rochelle was the person that we all wanted to meet.

After the service, all were invited to share in refreshments and receive a copy of Rochelle’s first published book: “Powerfully Poetic.” This book brilliantly brings scripture alive with her poems that encourage us to return to righteousness as we enter the Kingdom of God. We enjoyed sharing a few of her poems inspired by the Holy Spirit “to create a peaceful Heaven on Earth world that some of us pray for in the Bible, Mathew 6:9-13″: The Lord’s Prayer.
