Jesus Rewards Obedience

Today’s Daily Devotion – December 4 2022

By Dr. George J. Ceremuga

I tell you, to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

— Luke 19:26

Happy birthday to Khai, our kind, talented, and spirit-filled Chief Operations Officer. May God bless you and your family abundantly and give you many more trips around the sun. At a recent daily mass, Fr. Tim put the above scripture verse from Luke into context that resonated with my spirit. Instead of looking at money or talent as the gift that will be rewarded with more, Fr. Tim encouraged us to think of the strength of our relationship with Jesus and his grace and mercy as the true fruits of our labor.

The more time we nurture the divine exchange with Jesus, the more God gives to us. As we draw near to God, He draws near to us (James 4:8). Above all, Jesus desires our time with Him and that is priceless. Indeed, Khai is an obedient daughter of the Most High Jesus Christ. As a missionary disciple, she is on a mission to spread the message of salvation through healthcare all for the glory of God! She reminds us that Jesus did not die on the cross to live half-way for Him. He died so we could be sold-out, world-changing, devil-stomping, overcoming warriors for Jesus Christ!

Indeed, all for the glory of God!
