Jesus's Love Is Greater Daily Devotion

Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go.” John 18:8

Read John 18:7-9

One morning, tears were gushing down my cheeks while singing What a Beautiful Name by Hillsong. The line “My sin was great, Your love was greater” touched my heart and reminded me of what Jesus did to save me. He died for me. He died for you, too.

After the demonstration of power recorded in John 18:6, Jesus did not continue to protest His arrest. Jesus gladly gave up His life to protect His disciples. This was the same self-sacrificial love showed at the cross. Jesus threw the soldiers to the ground not to protect himself but to display the strength He has to protect the disciples.

When things are becoming overwhelming, remember that Jesus died for you. Jesus didn’t want heaven without you. He was thinking of you the day He went to Calvary. His love for you is way greater than your sins.

What a powerful name it is, the name of Jesus.
