That is the message of the cross; not only on Good Friday but every day. You are loved. You are forgiven. You are redeemed.
Disciples act with love. True followers of Jesus know that how we treat others proves that we know Him and follow Him.
He who fears the Lord honors his father and serves his parents as rulers. In word and deed honor your father that his blessing gives a family firm roots, but a mother’s curse uproots the growing plant.
Trust God and he will help you; make straight your ways and hope in him.
I think we all can identify with the father of the sick boy when Jesus instructed him to have faith, the father replied with words I can make my own: “I do believe. Help my unbelief.” (Mark 9:24)
Isaiah 50:4-7 is often referred to as one of the “servant songs.” It identifies an anonymous person that suffered greatly on behalf of others.
