Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Today’s Daily Devotion

By Dr. George Ceremuga

Saint Patrick, who lived during the fifth century, is the patron saint of Ireland and its national apostle. Born in Roman Britain, he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave at 16. He later escaped, but returned to Ireland and was credited with bringing Christianity to its people. Perhaps the most well-known legend of St. Patrick is that he explained the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) using the three leaves of a native Irish clover, the shamrock.

St Patrick is quoted in saying, “Be still and know that I am. Be still and know. Be still. Be.”

We can use this sage advice to be still in the presence of Jesus — His presence in peace for me. As we inhale love, exhale gratitude, and focus on Jesus, we allow our breath to bring peace to mind, body, and spirit. The spirit is love and love connects all that is good. This empowers us to live fully alive in mind, body, and spirit all for the glory of God.

Be still. Be.
Proverbs 46:10

Be still. Be.
