Wellness Hour Interview
Video Timestamp: 06:43
Dr. George J : why don’t you just give us your inspiration there? Ayn, for this beautiful popery of quotes.
Ayn: So these are inspirational quotes that we personally would like to live by or work on.
I would say these are motivations for me to live life the best way possible. A lot of this, our life learnings, while working with our team, Team love God.
Dr. George J : Absolutely folks. Or you have seen some of these in the past. It’s all about energy and positive energy. And we have to keep that going. We put a quote on the board today.
If we realize how our negative thoughts affect us in a poor way, we would never have a negative thought. Because that’s the power of the mind, our greatest asset and our greatest enemy. So please enjoy these inspirations, these quotes and these pictures they’re well done. And so just a reminder, we always put our God first, we lead with love by pure peace in his presence.
Give God the glory, the credit, and we’re building a healthy, vibrant, resilient nation. Really a world to be empowered, to live fully alive. In the mind, body and spirit through the creator model of [00:08:00] health care, the glory of God living fully alive. Okay. And so Winston Churchill, healthy citizens are the greatest asset any country can have.
And isn’t that true? An unhealthy country can really put a drain on the financial, financial, any country. And so we practice owning our health, self care and action. It’s our greatest gift. We have to invest in ourselves. How do you invest in yourself? Everyday Khai, and then we’ll ask the same question?
Khai: Investing number one of it’s on all these trying our best to live the 3-4 Pillars Of wellness, um, that’s one big health. Um, Hmm. all of these it’s actually, whenever you put God first, I believe everything, you know, will always follow and even the desires of your heart, the desires of living better each day to desires of glorifying God. And, um, that’s actually the investment of taking care of the temple of the holy spirit that God has entrusted us with.
Ayn: I agree with you Khai, When you have God in your life, everything will fall into place. And yes, the five pillars of wellness, which I am still trying to work on until now.
Dr. George J : Okay, well, you know what, each day is a new beginning and be kind of do yourself and be accountable in the same breath. And so, but our health is our greatest gift.
Many patients, older patients have told me if I knew I was going to live this longer, I would have taken better care of myself. Can’t take anything with you folks. And so might as well. You respect the body as a temple of the holy spirit and we know all life and healing comes from our God. And so we honor and respect that.
And Ralph Waldo Emerson tells us the first wealth is health [00:10:00] . 75% of the diseases that I see in the clinic are preventable by proper lifestyle choices. And you see the beautiful video, the PA patient self care. And the provider self care manuals that my team has put out. And so those are just to give you some jugs suggestions and some empowerment, right?
The empowerment is self care and action is, being responsible for our care, small steps every day. Getting back to Ayn, still working on these, you know, so am I, Khai. We’re all, we’re all working on these things and that’s okay. We don’t want to let perfect be the enemy of good. So we just continue on our wellness journey, being responsible for our health and choices, each one of us.
And so go ahead and read this one for us here Ayn.
Ayn: Sure! to keep the body in good health is that you be, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our minds strong and clear.
Dr. George J: Yeah, it does not make sense. And so if we’re not strong, physically, mentally, then spiritually. Then we’re going to struggle. We’re not going to have, we’re not going to be fully alive when our mind, body and our spirit.
And so, Dalai Lama says happiness is the highest form of health. And we’ve talked about in the past, happiness doesn’t come to you. It comes from you. No matter what’s going on in your life, choose to be happy. Indeed. Some days are better than others, but all days you’re good and your body deserves the best.
[00:12:00] Getting back to what Khai was saying each day, trying to do her best and starting off with glorifying God, because He’s the best executive secretary and buddy to have. He’ll guide you to what kind of set, making better decisions. Healthy outside starts from the inside and that’s food as medicine that’s water’s life.
Repeat what we put in our temple. Goes to our immune system, also to our brain, the mind and body are not separate. What affects one, affects the other. And we know that as well. That’s why holistic medicine treats the mind, body, and spirit health. We’re all responsible for our health and choices and healing all life and healing comes from our wonderful God.
We do our part. A healthy mind does not speak ill of others. No gossip, We’d speak positively. That positive energy, you know, that karma, what goes around, comes around. We don’t need to, you know, start anytime or with negative energy and Mahatma Gandhi, It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.
Absolutely. Again, we can’t take any of that with us, you know, for given. X amount of years on this earth. Why not make them good, healthy years that we can live fully alive? That’s our choice. We’re all responsible for our health and choices. And this is Mahatma Gandhi saying a quote, different picture. Is it that important?
We’ve got HonorHealth right. And how do we do that, Khai? Well, how would we own our health?
Khai: ofcourse, we own their health by optimizing the health of her body through mind, body and spirit through the 5 pillars of wellness.
Dr. George J: And absolutely. You know, God never intended medicine to be complicated or messing.
That’s why we simplified. He simplified it. We are ambassadors for him. We are leading the charge If you will, and spreading the good news, right? Jesus came to show us a better way to teach, to love, to heal. And so that’s what we’re doing through the creator model of healthcare we’re showing a better [00:14:00] way to teach, to love and to heal all through the glory of God.
Pillar 1 – Pure water is the world’s first and foremost medicine and absolutely Mni Wiconi, Agua es Vida, water’s life. Right. And how much water? Half our weight ounces each day.
Food is medicine and medicine is food. Hippocrates taught us that the father of medicine was rainbows of colors, fruits, and vegetables.
Good, good idea. To get a lot of that in our bodies, Dr. Mark Hyman, we know that food is medicine, perhaps the most powerful drug on the planet with the power to cause or cure most diseases. 75% of what I see in the clinic is through lifestyle changes with proper drinking in the water, avoiding the excesses of pop and caffeine and alcohol and power drinks and things like that.
Getting their exercise, getting your sleep, being loving and forgiving the God’s model of healthcare, keeping it safe. All of those diseases are reversible. Okay. A good aerobatic proverb when diet is wrong, medicine is of no use when diet is correct, medicine is of no need and that is so important. That is so important.
Pillar 2 – Food is medicine and look at how nutritional that medicine will be. You don’t have to eat less. You just have to eat right. I don’t go on any diets, guides don’t work. We’ve talked about that in the past. Eating portions, sizes, exercises, drinking, lots of water, the apple cider vinegar, the ginger, the lemon, the raw honey, all that works to keep us healthy. And so you don’t have to diet. You just live on the five pillars. That’s our diet.
daily exercise is one of the keys to an excellent health – ATGW.
Pillar 3- motion is a lotion and exercise is celebration. What your body can do. Not a punishment for what you ate. And [00:16:00] I don’t exercise because I eat a piece of cake or chocolate or walnut.
Exercise cause it’s part of my life, it’s lifestyle and my weight stays where it needs to be. A good old Irish proverb. I’m part Irish, a good laugh and a long sleep or the best cures in the doctor’s book. Absolutely. It can be. How about reading this one for us there, Ayn? beautiful slide, you put together there.
Ayn: Health does not always come from medicine. Most of the time it comes from peace of mind, peace in heart, peace of soul. It comes from laughter and love.
Dr. George J: I can share many, many times with just a good laugh walk with my bride, you know, hand in hand and, uh, watching a sunset sunrise, taking a trip together.
That’s peace of mind, peace of heart, peace of soul. Remember the talk to Jesus. You know, the last verse is when I talk, you know, talk to Jesus, my guiding light is Jesus calls us, his children. Jesus encourages me to smile. Jesus loves me abundantly Jesus, his presence, his peace for you and me. And so that smile is so important. It’s wonderful medicine. And getting back to smile,
Mother Teresa, it begins with a smile. I will ever underestimate all the good that a simple smile can accomplish.
That’s why I have to give my best each day with my patients, my staff, the people like come into college with a smile and it lights up a room that’s important and khai, going to read this next slide by
Khai: All right.
[00:18:00] A setback means the path you took didn’t work. It doesn’t mean all the roads are closed towards your dream, nor does it invalidate your effort, a beautiful existence blossoms from persistence. – Dodinsky
Dr. George J : You have any examples you can share about that guy when one road kind of seemed blocked. I mean, you had to go down a different path.
Khai: Maybe what I can just share is more in really not kicking the donkey as what we have discussed during our book review for this Jesus. He, oh yeah. So, we should not consider inconvenience as something that is, um, no, blocking our way, but you know, God’s plans are always better than ours. And it’s proven a lot of, you know, with my life.
Um, at least that, you know, there are a lot of if only, if only in other regrets, but then, you know, um, at this point of my life, looking back at what they’ve been through, the experiences I had, you know, everything has been a perfect piece of the puzzle that, um, puzzle of the wonderful masterpiece that God. Um, actually have for.
Dr. George J: Yeah, absolutely. Well said, trust His time. is really beautiful when someone prays for you without your knowledge, it’s the highest form of respect and care. And you can feel that too. You can just feel that, that good energy. And, you know, somebody is either thinking about you or praying for you. Some do that often.
And we put that on our website here about, you know, sending somebody a text or a kind word, and it really does make a difference. Pleasure on the job puts perfection in the work. That’s why my team is so perfect, this pleasure. They love their work and I’ll, and so that just, you could see it and their, and their laughter and their joy and their artistic talents.[00:20:00] Thank you team.
If you’re thinking positive during negative times, you’ve already won – Roger Lee
And ad is so true because there’s things that’ll get us down, but that’s the choice. Choose positive. Nothing happens by accident. God is preparing you for great things. All right.
Billy Graham, Don’t leave Jesus in the manger; don’t remember Him only at Christmas. Instead, learn to walk with Him every day. As you pray and read His word and ask Him to help you.
You know, the older I get, the Virgin, isn’t a church. It’s really spirituality. It’s the spirit, the spirit of love connecting all that as good. That’s the vertical relationship.
That’s the only thing that’s going to get you peace, the horizontal relationship. Then life, we have to have relationships, but the one that’s going to provide your pieces, the vertical line. Don’t rely on anyone else in your life for your happiness and your joy and your peace only comes from Jesus Christ. well said, Billy Graham.
There’s only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve; that fear of failure. – Paulo Coelho
Gotta be able to jump, take that leap of faith. Sometimes they just look up and smile and say, I know that was you God, thank you. Absolutely. You know, he just opened so many doors on my recent trip with medical student rotations and, you know, I just walked in with a smile and the Lord took it from there.
And so thank you, Jesus, for that. Winters are not afraid of losing but losers are. Failures part of the process of success, people who avoid failure also avoid success. Absolutely. You gotta put it out there. Have we had some, some failures instead of setbacks and the team Love God. Yes we have, but we’re better for it.
We’re on our path to success [00:22:00] because we believe that it doesn’t mean everything that we do is going to be successful, but success. It’s doing the will of God with a joyful heart, getting up one more time. They’re getting knocked down like Jesus did on the way to the cross. He got up every time. And now I’m going to take us through these seven promises of God and close this presentation.
Go, go for it there Ayn.
Ayn: Okay. Thank you for that, Dr. George. So.
The Seven Promises of God
1. So I am your strength.
So, In Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous hand.
2. Then I will never leave.
You are, remember the beautiful poem, the footprints in the sand. So, this one was about someone asking the Lord.
Lord, you said, once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the sadness and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why, when I needed you the most, you would leave me and the Lord whispered.
My precious child. I love you and I will never leave. You never, ever, during your trials and testings, when you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
3. Then the next is I have plans for you to prosper.
So like [00:24:00] what Khai said earlier and from the Jesus CEO book, uh, God’s plans are always better than ours.
The minor inconvenience as we experienced, maybe blessings in disguise.
4. I hear your prayers.
So prayer is the best armor against all trials. And Dr. George J has something about prayer that he always says as well. “Prayer as the best medicine”. Yes, Indeed.
5. Let’s go to the next one. So I will fight for you.
So this reminds me of the verse in Exodus 14: 14, the Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.
6. and then I will give you peace.
Well, peace is not just something experienced in prayer. I think it’s something that we experience around God’s creations – the environment, and so remembering Jesus CEO takes a little time out, smells the flowers and rethink your route and your mission.
7. I will always love you.
I guess, this is the best reminder of all that we are all loved regardless of our imperfections.
Dr. George J: Absolutely.
