December 17, 2020 Daily Devotion
Paul typically opens his epistles with words of thanksgiving and goes on to offer encouragement to the readers. Reminding about faith, love, and hope is common to Paul’s letters. As Paul clarifies an arising misunderstanding concerning the end times, he reminded the Thessalonians that they are loved by God and the love of God is the ultimate reason for their election. Faith, love, and hope produced in the believers the work, labor, and patience despite the long-suffering.
What are you doing for the Kingdom of God? Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to work marvelous changes in your life? May your faith in the Lord enable you to accomplish the work God has called you to do, may God’s love prompt you to do loving labor to your neighbor and the Kingdom of God, done in the spirit of love, and may you be cheered by your patience of hope as you go through the trials of life.
Continue to be called by God throughout your life.
