The Lord God then asked the woman, "Why did you do such a thing?" - Genesis 3:13

In the face of their sin, Adam blamed Eve, Eve blamed the serpent, and they both hid unwillingly to seek repentance with a contrite heart.

That is a summons to a personal, absolute, and ultimate unconditional surrender to God as Sovereign. If you think that you are in charge of your life then you have reason to worry. If you surrender your life to God, there is no room for worry.

For most of us, it is natural to think of ourselves as more righteous than we are. We often play the “blame game.” We are all responsible for our health and the choices that we make each day. Each day ask the Holy Spirit to teach you humility and God’s grace to give us eyes to see our sin and hearts that are willing to repent with a contrite heart.

Stop, look, listen, and receive God's grace to repent.
