Courage in Professing the Faith

Only conduct yourselves in a way worthy of the gospel of Christ.

Philippians 1:27-30

The Apostle Paul had many gifts. He was a masterful orator and through the power of the Holy Spirit was able to spread the Gospel far and wide. He had his opponents and found himself in many precarious situations to include imprisonment and ultimately death as a martyr for Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul encouraged the Philippians to not be intimidated by your opponents in any situation. Their opposition foreshadows downfall for them, but salvation for you. All this is as God intends, for it is your special privilege to take Christ’s part-not only to believe in him but also to suffer for him. What prepares us for our certain eternal future? Faith. Yes, faith is that God will deliver on his promise of eternal life for those who believe.

I believe!
