Read Daniel 4:34-37
In this season of my life, this attribute of God speaks to me. In the times of uncertainty, weakness, confusion, and hopelessness, God’s sovereignty gives me peace. King Nebuchadnezzar, who was once a persecutor of the faithful, lifted His eyes up and gave His words of blessing and praise to God after his recovery. Through humiliation, he learned a lesson that made him a witness to the faith. He learned to acknowledge that God’s dominion is an everlasting dominion. God’s empire extends not only through the universe but also through all time eternal. His kingdom is not only until this generation, but from generation to generation. Whether there is pandemic or none, whether we choose to accept Him or not, His kingdom will continue to reign. No human king can extend his authority until the generations to come, but only God.
We can trust God and rely on Him because He is sovereign. He is in control of everything. We can trust in the Lord with all our heart; do not depend on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5) because He is transcendent, immanent, omnipresent, omnipotent, immutable, holy, truthful, love, and sovereign. Still afraid to trust God? He loves you. He will never let go of you. He will always be faithful to you.
Let us lift our eyes up in heaven and praise God!
