God makes everything come out right; he puts victims back on their feet. - Psalm 103:6 MSG
This psalm of David starts and ends with “Praise the Lord, my soul.” It is David’s response of awe to the greatness of God. There are a lot of reasons to bless and honor God. He heals us, forgives us, crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies, satisfies us with provision, sustains us, and redeems us from destruction. He is Holy, merciful, full of grace, and righteous.
David also magnifies God’s goodness not only for us but also for others. He works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed (vv. 6 NIV). Injustice exists in every corner of the world. We even desire to take justice into our own hands. God, on the other hand, is our judge. No unfair deed goes unnoticed by God. The Lord is righteous, and He loves justice (Psalm 11:7). God sees the trouble of the afflicted, considers their grief, and takes it in hand. He hears their desires, encourages them, and listens to their cry. He is the helper of the fatherless and defends the oppressed (Psalm 10:4-8).
May our soul bless God. Let us give God the honor and praise due to Him.
