Read 2 Timothy 1:8-10
We are saved not because we are kind or generous. Our salvation is not something we earned. It is a precious gift given to us, with no payment or deposit needed, not because we have been good but because of God’s purpose and grace. In the MSG version, it says, “It was all his idea, a gift prepared for us in Jesus long before we knew anything about it (v. 9).” We receive salvation not only for our own benefit. God wants His kingdom to conquer the world, and He wants to do it through us.
God is asking us to believe that through His grace, we can do what we just can’t do on our own with ease. God will open doors and will give us the power to fish for people. Through His grace, He can also change us to be the people He wants us to be. He called us to live a holy life for others to witness God’s grace at work in us.
How can you be a channel of God’s love to others today?
Lord, here I am, mold me and use me.
