“Your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.” - Luke 12:30-31

Read Luke 12:20-34

If there’s a word to describe 2020, what will that be? Perhaps the word “uncertain” will be one answer. What will happen with the economy and the health status of the world nowadays does not have certainty. Most are putting their hope on vaccines to end this pandemic.

Our scripture today gives us an assurance that God knows our needs. However, it is challenging at the same time because we always want to have an answer to the question “how?” How will I pay my bills if I don’t have any means of income because of this pandemic? How will I see growth in my sales if almost everything seems dwindling down?

The scripture also gives us an answer to all our how questions. Luke 12:31 says to seek God’s Kingdom and our needs will be given to us. God is teaching us about trust and faith because He knows worrying will not add a single hour to our lives. Rather than making our needs our priority, let us prioritize our Kingdom mission. We can ask our self how we can reflect who God is during this season or how we can serve God by serving our neighbors. Rather than focusing on our self, let us focus on God.

Lord, help me serve Your Kingdom. How can I serve you today?
