At our recent men’s group meeting, we are chimed in on why we pick up our crosses and follow Jesus. I look forward to this hour every Saturday morning prior to mass. The spirit of God is palpable within our group. My response was, “He healed the man who arrested Him, He served the man who betrayed Him, and He forgave the world who crucified Him. That is my Jesus!” The universal comment was, we would not be present in our current capacities, if it were not for the grace and redemption of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
I concluded our session from a daily inspiration for our new book, All for the Glory of God. “Jesus has prepared our way for salvation. His sacrifice will never have to be repeated. By His holy cross, He has redeemed the world.” We all agreed that the prior sentence says it all.
Indeed, Jesus has redeemed the world!
