Life in the Promised Land

God promised us a place of rest. This place is not a physical place. We can experience God’s resting place even here on earth with the right state of our heart and mind.

What is God’s promised life to us?

It is a kind of life in which Jesus comes the first and the last in everything we do, putting Him first and giving back all the glory to Him. A life in which we are conquerors knowing that “absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us” (Romans 8:37). It is a life in which we keep standing still and not lose heart, in which we are still overflowing with joy despite all our trouble (2 Corinthians 7:4). A kind of life in which “we are not anxious or worried about anything but in circumstance and situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, we continue to make our specific requests known to God (Philippians 4:6).

In life, we may suffer, but with Jesus Christ with us, we will not surrender to hopelessness. We only boast in Christ, trust in God, and rely entirely on his power. As we depend on God, we have a lot of fruit, and our faith is growing.
