Sanctify Yourselves Now!

Hezekiah was 25 years old when he became the king of Judah. He inherited a mess from his father, Ahaz. He pleased the Lord just as his forefather David had done. In his first month on the job, he opened the doors of the Lord’s house and repaired them. He summoned the religious and community leaders and said to them: “Sanctify yourselves now and sanctify the house of the Lord, the God of your fathers, and clean out the filth from the sanctuary.”

This is playing out in real time now in the United States of America. Evil forces are trying to undermine the founding principles of a sovereign people guided by the divinity and righteousness of God. As Hezekiah takes drastic measures to reform the tribe of Judah, we, too, rejoice that we have an anointed President Trump to stand for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as “One Nation Under God.”
