Start with Prayer!

God what is your will for me? In this gospel reading, Jesus tells a parable of two men who built homes. They both heard the word of Jesus; one acted on these words and one did not. Let us be like the wise man and build our lives on the “rock of Jesus.” So let us start with prayer-the best medicine-to build that inner strength and peace to withstand all the storms of life.

Just as you cannot have a friendship with someone you never talk to, you can’t have a relationship with Jesus without prayer. Talk to Jesus in the morning. Talk to Jesus in the night. Talk to Jesus my mindful moments. Talk to Jesus my guiding light. As we grow in the divine exchange with Jesus, we become his eyes, ears, and mouth joyfully proclaiming His will as we are a light for His world.
