Mary Magdalene showed and shared her love for Jesus Christ. After seeing the empty tomb, Mary was desperate to find the missing Jesus to “him whom my heart loves” (Song of Songs 3: 3). Jesus had driven out seven demons and taught her a new way to live and welcomed her as a disciple. Mary loved him deeply and could not bear to be without him.
Do we hold that same intensity as Mary to be with Jesus? Remember, when she finally recognized Jesus she hugged him and would not let him go. Jesus had to tell her to “stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father and your Father, to my God and your God” (John 20:17). We can keep that same intense flame of love for Jesus by attending daily mass to receive the miracle of His body and blood as we are transformed into humble servants of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
Jesus, I need, trust, and love you!
