Text Messages from God

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory. - 2 Corinthians 3:18.
After our recent hiking trip to the southwest, we returned to my friend’s cabin in southern Colorado. I have enjoyed this tranquil setting along the Conejos River for over 25 years. This destination is an annual sojourn for fall elk hunting. What is particularly appealing is that there is no cell service available-no texts or calls- or so I thought. God had another plan.
After finishing my morning prayers and rosary, I received a text from my daughter-in –law. “Please pray for my father…I was honored to be included as a prayer warrior for “our family.” An hour later, a second text appeared. These were the only texts that I received. Cell service or not, God wanted me in on the prayers for her father.
Five days later, I attended his funeral with all my children and their mother. As dysfunctional and broken our family remains, we were a source of strength, love and support for all in attendance. God is already bringing good out of tragedy. That is who God is…God is Love!
God’s plan is always better!
