Thanks Be To God!

Today is Thanksgiving. Isn’t each day Thanksgiving? Before we ask for anything, let us give God thanks for everything. Waking up to a joyful and grateful heart is the antidote for criticizing and complaining. Not always easy, yet with greeting each day as a “present” from God- it reminds us of His compassion, love, grace and mercy. Each day that he wakes us up, he gives us a gift and multiple gifts throughout the day.

Are we looking for those signals of grace? Those signals of grace come in many forms, from the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, to the magnificence of a sunrise or sunset. Maybe it is a call or text from family or friend that picks up your spirits. All comes from God.

The best way to be aware of your surroundings is to constantly talk to Jesus-our guiding light. When the world wants to paint a picture of doom and gloom, Jesus’s call us his children and encourages us to smile. Jesus loves us abundantly. Jesus is my salvation. Jesus presence is peace for you and me.
