It may sound sarcastic, but the day Jesus was crucified and died on the cross is the day the Lord has made. Hence, we should rejoice and be glad about it. We can celebrate His death because his death was not a waste at all. It was the day that death died!
Christ’s death is the beginning of hope. It provided a path to redemption and the hope of complete and everlasting triumph. It’s a symbol of our justification, the cause of our holiness, the guarantee of our glorification, and the path to our redemption. Because of the death of Jesus, we can shout, “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:55). It is finished!
This is the day the Lord has made! Let us celebrate Jesus’ death and resurrection. Let us enjoy His love and His gift of eternal life.
Thank you, Jesus!
Jesus won the victory over the grave.
