The Immaculate Heart of Mary

The greatest gift to mankind was the Immaculate Conception and Mary said, “Yes.” Mary, the mother of God, the mother of the universe. On August 15, we celebrated the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  This feast symbolizes the truth that Mary, body and soul, has joined her son, Jesus, in heaven. 

The Holy Spirit was an intimate guiding force in Mary’s own life. She listened to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and found the courage to put her older cousin Elizabeth’s needs before her own. The Holy Spirit revealed to Elizabeth that her cousin was bearing her people’s longed-for Messiah. Mary’s yes to the Spirit was a constant theme in her life, and it can be for you too.
